Episode Drabbles- K-T, canon pairings only

A new set of drabbles. My summer project: a drabble for every episode of Bones, S1-S4. Here's the first one. See if you can guess what moment I'm talking about. (Booth's POV, by the way.)

He tells himself he first noticed her eyes because they've been beaming death at him since the beginning. But the reality is that he thinks they're (shhh) kinda pretty. They're a really intense blue; he can't quite name the color. At this moment, they're right in his face and it's disturbing him that he's turned on. Not that she's not attractive, but they don't like each other. The absolute best feeling they have for each other is grudging respect. He shifts, hoping she doesn't notice that he's currently harboring a slightly different emotion. She's smirking. He suspects she realizes anyway.

Yea! Fluff! You pulled me out of my hole!! Thank you. Now, I hope I get this one right - it would be so embarrassing not to! I see them in each other's face at the shooting range! I just love to go on a tour through their thoughts...

... and you picked the eyes, her eyes. My one and only fic is about the eyes too!

So glad you liked it! And you're right- it was the shooting range. If you watch the scene again, David does this shifting thing that I always notice, so I wanted to get a little insight into that. Also cause it's hot.

They were just lounging when Santana called. With a sigh, he grabbed his pants. He was leaning to kiss her when there was a knock. He pulled back, grabbing a fresh shirt on his way out. She was content staying behind until she heard their voices: hers- brash and throaty- and his- intense, the way it is when he talked about his son.
“Let's just go check out Miss Sexy Voice.” Tessa grabbed Seeley's shirt from the floor.
But her worry was not about the strange woman. It was about that intensity that Tessa herself never brought to Seeley's voice.

I love it. No one has ever evoked more intense reactions from Booth than Brennan, Tessa was just the first to figure it out. I've always wondered what Cam thought about the partners when she was with Booth, especially since she worked with Brennan all the time.

Sid had seen Booth drunk and crying, but never so irate as when he had stormed into Wong Foo's, his aura reading “sippy cup of water and some meds.”
A few weeks later, Booth could manage hot coffee and pie while talking about his new partner, although why she was so irritating was still a mystery. (Booth's rants mostly consisted of disjointed phrases like “bone lady” and “flesh-eating beetles.”)
And then they came into the restaurant, and Sid consequently added “having sex at the corner table” to his list of situations he never wanted to see Seeley Booth in.

A/N: That took me a hell of a long time. I must have done five different situations before I settled on this one.

This is a great idea. I like insight into what they might be thinking/feeling, so this is a good idea. Kepp it up!

Yeah, but now finals are over and I have a summer to spend writing these. Unfortunately my laptop died on me last night, but it's working again and I'm scheduled to get started writing posthaste. Guess what you guys get as a consolation prize? I wrote a second drabble for Boy in the Tree that I like but was not going to show. However, since you guys have been waiting so patiently, you get to see it exclusively.



Most people think her oblivious but even she understands that there is a certain awkwardness to watching porn in this situation. She is not usually embarrassed by much but she is still very much aware that an attractive man is sitting within easy reach. She can see his gaze ticking toward her every so often. Booth thinks she doesn't notice and she pretends as such. She cannot determine what she would do if he actually expressed that kind of interest. He's her partner; he's Booth. She refocuses her attention on the screen. She doesn't want to think about it now.

B&B watching p0rn together? Lord the mental images that evokes, somehow I can't see that happening without her breaking into a whole 'anthropologically speaking...' or at least comparing the male genitalia on the actors to Booth's when he starts getting nervous around her.

It's the scene from Boy in the Tree where they find the prep school porn. I always thought it should be more uncomfortable than it was. I decided not to do it from Booth's POV because that would be too obvious.

Ahh, now that makes more sense to me - wow, I can't believe I missed it. Shows you where my mind went instantly doesn't it? lol

She started to grin. The thought that they had called him not because he was a good cop with a good reputation, not because he had been called in as a specialist on urban crime, not because he had been awarded several medals for meritorious service, not because he held the Bureau's third place record for rookie busts...well, that made her downright giddy. She had always known she was smart and that she had indispensable skills, but confirmation was always nice, even if he wouldn't actually give it verbally.

“They bumped it to you because you work with me.”
