Season 4 DVD

Wasn't sure where to post this. Who knows when Season 4 will be out on DVD. What episodes will be on the DVD. Remember Season Three has the first 3 episodes of Season 4 on it? What outakes, missing scenes, bloopers would you like to see.

I would like to see some alternative endings to certain episodes, that they decided wouldn't work or a deleted scene. etc.

Unfortunately, I've no clue when we'll get S4 on DVD... BUT I know exactly what bloopers/behind the scene videos I'd love to see: the one(s) from the sex scene! Like the one we had with the Christmas kiss.

no idea! amazon hasn't listed a release date yet. probably best to just keeping checking there as they're usually pretty up-to-date.

I would be floored if they actually had in bloopers from the sex scene since DB kicked most people off the set who didn't need to be there...but they did have bloopers of Brennan and Sully, but DB & ED weren't as covered up as Brennan and Sully were.

I still hope for those bloopers: licked out or not, there was at least one cameraman there. So, bloopers are theoretically possible .
(And Emily 'should' be more covered in the scene with Sully: she was topless.)

I hope they have commentaries - especially David and Emily - for several episodes, particularily "Critic". It was one of my favorite episodes this season (although I loved them all)!

I'd like to see extended sex scenes, outtakes, fun little cast interviews. I saw one in a DVD for a show but I can't remember which one where they had a how well do you know the character quiz? And you'd answer the questions, and the actor/actress would pop up on screen an d tell you if you are right or wrong, it was fun.

I must have missed something with the Brennan/Sully bloopers--where can I find them? Are they actually on the DVDs or hiding somewhere online?

Expanded scenes from EitB in particular would be nice, and a commentary, too. They never put one on the epis I want though... And more by DB & ED would be great--they were pretty funny on TBitL! I've wondered if I'm going to end up with duplicate copies of the 1st 4 epis of S4. They could have just marked the price down a little and stuck with S3's 15. (like that would happen. )

I would imagine a release date would fall between August & December, like S3. Actually, that was a little late, wasn't it? November, if I recall. I didn't get them until Christmas, so I couldn't say for sure.

I'm with you on that, in fact I'm dying to see outtakes from all the 'couply' scenes between David and Emily since he always tries to get her to laugh during them. I saw the outtakes from their mistletoe kiss and it was hilarious, I'm imagining they had a lot of laughs doing tEitB and FitI is going to have to have some fun stuff from the ice skating scenes, likewise DTitPH with the circus performing bits.

Oh, that's great news. It's still a little on the expensive side, but that's actually not that bad. Do we know what kind of extras we'll get or which episodes will have commentary? It's probably too soon to tell but would be really interesting to see.

I love seeing the cast behind the scenes. They're so cute. I'd really like to see something about working with the kid actors, especially something from David about Ty Panitz. That would be TOO MUCH for me! I already signed my mom up for hinty emails from Amazon about the DVDs. I've gotten a season for a birthday present for the past few years, so hopefully we'll keep up the trend.

If we go on what we've received in previous years, not much in the way of commentaries - which is a shame as I always appreciate them. We may get some BTS stuff, but I'm not holding my breath. At least we'll get more than 15 eps this round!

Got the below info today from 206Bones courtesy of mcphee06 about Bones Season 4 DVD.

TV Shows on DVD has finally released info on the Bones Season 4 DVD & BluRay (yes it will be released in HD as well) due to be released on October 6th & October 26th in the U.K. This is for the Region 1 release in the U.S. No word as yet on the Australian release.

Several weeks ago we reported that Amazon.com had begun taking advance orders for s for Bones - Season 4 on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. No release date was available at the time, though, because the studio had not formally announced the title. Today, however, Fox Home Entertainment told retailers that the title, in both formats, had been officially put on the schedule for October 6th.

The DVD is a 6-disc set presented in anamorphic widescreen video. Audio is listed as "English: 5.0 Dolby Digital"...that's right, it says "5.0" instead of "5.1" (hopefully this is a typo). Subtitles are in English, French and Spanish. Bonus material starts with Extended Episodes (in addition to the aired versions) of "The Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond," "The Doctor in the Den" and "The Girl in the Mask". Other extras will be Deleted Scenes, a Gag Reel, plus 2 Featurettes: "Androgeny: Playing Haru Tanaka" and "Squints in Training".

The Blu-ray is a 5-disc set with the same content, presented in high definition widescreen video, 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio and subtitles in French and Spanish. Running time of the Blu-ray is specified to be 1174 minutes. Cost of the Blu-ray version is $69.99 SRP in the USA and CA$89.99 SRP in Canada. By comparison, the DVD is priced at $59.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$89.98 SRP in Canada (interesting that the list prices are the same in Canada for the Blu-ray and the DVD, but there's a ten dollar difference between the two in the USA).
