I doubt that she's gone "forever"--just for the time being until she's needed in another episode.

Haha - I noticed that as well. As soon as I noticed that, I jumped on imdb and looked for the episode, and voila - Marisa Coughlan.
In a sort-of-related story, I saw the actor that played Chip on Crank in the Shaft on Women's Murder Club too.

I actually think it would be cool if she came back. Just for an epi, to kinda play the role of "The Greek Chorus," y'know? Point things out to B&B about their feelings for one another. Then she can leave and be gone forever. But maybe *1* more appearance for a little insight. Oh, I should come up with a 1shot for that!

She left the show because Booth totally ignored her chili offering.

Totally, you should. Maybe she'd just get fed up with Booth's pointless flirtations and blow up then say, "That's it!" She'd get Brennan by the arm and Booth by his and say, "Brennan, Booth is in love with you. Yeah. That's right." Then say, "And Booth, not only are you in love with Brennan, but Brennan loves you back. OK? There. Now we're clear. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a five o'clock dinner date with my sister."
