I must have watched both shows at least 3 times when they aired or when the reruns aired......but that was so long ago
and I really want to watch in English this time
but DVD's are really expensive....especially for poor students

Then start watching Angel as well as Buffy.
I only own S1 - 3 of Buffy, I watched it on TV after that, but didn't buy. I guess just because I'm more of a DB fan. I have her series finale on DVR.

- and can I just say that one of the biggest reasons it turned me off was Buffy's reaction to Parker's rejection. Are you kidding me??? Angel just left a few months ago, and we're supposed to believe that she was that enamored with Parker that she'd let him use her and then mope over him and wish for another chance with him? No way. Quite honestly, I can't imagine any circumstance that she would react that way. The real Buffy would have told him off and kicked his ass! You get rid of Angel, fine. But at least keep Buffy in character...geez...
