The Bones panel -- Comic-Con Report Empty The Bones panel -- Comic-Con Report

Here is a report from the TV Squad. This point of view has a few new little things, and clears up the confusion on the Cam/Angela/past-lover front.

ALSO, as a bonus, there are a few pictures from the event. And one of them is David when he entered as described in another first hand account.

David Boreanaz knows how to work a crowd. The man is honest, funny, and self-deprecating. Oh, and I guess he's good looking (I'm a man's man and really don't look at those things.) That's probably a reason why so many women crowded into the huge Ballroom 20 for the Bones panel -- a panel that I was highly anticipating. Well, it was probably Boreanaz as well as the appearances of Tamara Taylor (Cam), John Francis Daley (Dr. Sweets) and Michaela Conlin that made the audience wait in line for over an hour.

But, it was David who took over the panel for most of the time as they revealed some upcoming facts about season four and took audience questions.

After watching a preview of an upcoming fourth season episode (which was a takeoff on Cheaters and looked pretty decent), the cast, as well as creators Hart Hanson and Barry Josephson, sat down to talk about the series. Josephson was happy that they were able to take the show out of its element and throw Bones and Booth into London for the two-hour season premiere (airing September 3rd). According to Barry Bones has a great international following. Plus, he and Hart had always wanted to have episodes where the main characters are taking out of the comfortable elements and but into a different situation.

The moderator then asked the cast if they could reveal something that would be happening with their character this season. Michaela said that she may have a relationship with an ex-girlfriend. "Booth's gotta get in on that," said David. Daley said that his character may also find love, and will need to work harder to get some additional respect from Bones and her crowd after the events of last season's finale. Tamara Taylor also said that love will be in the air as she has a tryst with someone Angela has had a relationship with. And, according to Hart Hanson, Booth and Bones will end up in bed together, naked.

Some information about how Bones was originally going to work was discussed. Originally Brennan was going to work with a number of different law enforcement people -- Booth being one of them. However, once they found out that Boreanaz was available for the show they hired him immediately and it became just the two characters. Then, as they were casting the role of Brennan, Boreanaz said he was impressed and moved when Emily tried out for the role as she was the only one who stood up to Booth during the read. Said Josephson, "When we finished the pilot we knew how good the chemistry was (between Bones and Booth)."

During the audience Q&A the actors were asked to list the biggest pet peeves of the other cast members. No one came up to bat except David who began with, "Who should I start with?" He went on to say that John's breath stank and that Michaela smiled too much. "Get pissed off," he requested of Conlin. When asked how Bones and Booth would keep their relation fresh when (not if) they consummated their relationship, Boreanaz said that the two were already married...they just haven't consummated their relationship yet.

Another audience member asked where the Chinese restaurant went from season one. In a very behind-the-scenes look Hart Hanson said that they needed to swap the restaurant out for the Diner in order to get access to the New York Street set. They hope to have Heavy D, who was the proprietor of the Chinese restaurant, to be back this season.

Finally, when asked about working with the dead bodies and bodily fluids week after week, Conlin said it was pretty gross, and getting more lifelike all of the time. Hart Hanson added that the dead bodies were a big part of the budget.
