After months of teasing, creator Hart Hanson confirms Bones and Booth will hook up in this year’s season finale. “They’re actually in bed having sex,” Hanson tells me. “And they won’t be able to just walk away from what happened. It will have serious ramifications.”

oh oh, no dream sequence? no alternate reality? ...and did we know about the sex thingy? lol... we knew about them being in bed together but sex??? holy moly....

I KNEW this was going to happen. I knew Hart had to have something up his sleeve, had them be all coy about it.

Um...hmm. I'm excited, obviously. But also worried. They get us all excited by "in bed together"...and then put "serious ramifications" in there. "They won't be able to just walk away."

From the looks of that article, maybe there's some realizations on Booth's end or something? I don't know. Is it possible that the rumor/possible spoiler that came out a few months ago about her wanting a baby could actually be true? And maybe that's why they can't walk away, because something happens there?

Too many possibilities. I just know that at this point, I'm trying really hard to trust them.

Bones: They Finally Do It!

After months of teasing, creator Hart Hanson confirms Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) will hook up in this year's season finale. "They're actually in bed having sex," Hanson tells me. "And they won't be able to just walk away from what happened. It will have serious ramifications."

Booth is able to open up after working with his therapist, Dr. Wyatt (Stephen Fry) to confront problems from his dark past. "Booth's father had some issues," David says. "We're going to find out more about how painful it was for me growing up with that man. My grandfather was a much nicer person." So nice that it'll be revealed that were it not for Grandpa, Booth would be dead. Casting will soon get under way for Gramps, a fighter-pilot hero, who will appear in late April or early May amid a Booth family crisis. "We hope to do some fancy casting around the grandfather," says Hanson. Top on his wish list: James Garner. Hanson believes the veteran actor, like David, has "a certain cool kind of thing going on." But Hanson says Robert Wagner resembles Boreanaz's real dad, Philadelphia weatherman David Thomas.

Viewers will meet Booth's father, an ex-military man-turned-barber, late this season or early next. Hanson says Booth's mom is "probably alive" but "wasn't around for most of his life." Bones' father, Max, is in limbo due to Ryan O'Neal's ongoing, real-life legal drama. "He pleaded guilty to drug possession so he has to go into a program," Hanson says. "But we'd very much...

I'm excited about this... I know that they'll both deem it a mistake, but in a way that's exciting to see for just a blip that they truly care for each other and want one another!

I'm excited to see that Stephen Fry will be hanging around for a little longer this season, we'll learn more about Booth's past, see his grandfather and father, and finally we'll get to see this fab scene... even if it's for a blip... it'll tide me over for the rest of the show... hahaha NOT.

HH said that he wouldn't get them together unless he had something good to replace the sexual tension with...

My guess is that they won't get together, as in dating... they'll acknowledge that it was a 'mistake' and that they shouldn't do that again for professional reasons, but they'll both want each other so much that the sexual tension will be amped--MULTIPLIED. I think this is a smart move.

I think you are right forensicmama. What is better than the sexual tension we have already...... MORE OF IT at a MAGNIFIED amount! Just think they will decide that it can never happen again, it will be totally akward but they have to keep it a secret and still continue working together. However the attraction will be to great and they can't keep there hands off each other. OOO Just think how akward it would really get if one of them started flirting with someone else. OH MAN I love this show!

(Just like Booth said, forget Agent Perrotta. Yes, indeed. She's a tease, not a problem. But THAT, that could be a really BIG one. I wouldn't like to be tortured the whole next season with the...whatever the outcome will be, 'cause judging by the 'serious ramifications' this outcome won't be a loving, peaceful, good functioning relationship...)

Oh my... i hoped that Hart would hold them apart till 5th season..... I am wondering what they have tought to keep the story interesting. I mean that... B&B together in bed and so one.... That is like dreams becoming reality. But... the dynamic WILL change then, and i am wondering what will the do about it.

To quote Hodgins, B&B are like two pieces of neodymium caught in a magnetic field... lol... just kidding, but seriously. Any rational human being would've jumped the other person by now. They're constantly flirting (the librarian comment), touching each other (holding hands, touching legs, arms, etc.), hugging one another, talking about love and sex... they're bound to make love AND SOON! And I'm sure that the ramifications will make us viewers only want to watch MORE to see what happens next between these two. It won't be easy. They won't fall in love and get married and start pumping out babies--that would make the season end at Season 5. We'd all go home, feel good about ourselves and the B/B magic and not care to watch another show. But if they keep circling around each other like this--the circling is the fun part--then we'll keep coming back for more. And, honestly, that's what I want. MORE. I'd cry if the show ended at Season five.

So, keep circling, B/B and keep teasing, Hart! I'll keep viewing.

I agree with Mama--this will only make the sexual tension increase TENFOLD. Can you imagine what the season 5 premiere will be like? Awkwardness abound! I can't wait!
