I love it too...who doesn't try to take a picture like this at one point in time. I think Anchorman brought it on heavily.
Anyways, thanks for posting!

I have seen that pic and it is FAB. What a great shot, I'd want to have that framed if I were Emily, Zooey, or Mary Jo. You're gorgeous, Deschanel women!

I just heard the most ADORABLE thing EVER...Emily's dad completely and totally surprised her mother with a trip to...ROME!!! I'm pretty sure it was for their anniversary. Just thought I'd add that to the Deschanel Family thread to show us just how great they must be!

Awww that is so super romantic! I read that article from... oh, can't remember... anyhow, I read the part where Emily mentioned how her mom would make special meals for her. They were totally supportive of her diet choice. I thought that was incredibly sweet. And she also mentioned how her great-great granny hid people in the Underground Railroad and now Emily's involved in a group that helps women who have been raped and abandoned by their families to learn life skills and be able to support their families. It brought tears to my eyes, that part.
Re: The Deschanel Family
Actually, it wasn't in an article. Just a lil tidbit of info!

That's great I just think we need more exposure of Emily. She's so underrated

Agreed! Everyone always talks about Zooey and don't get me wrong, I think she's great too. But I think because she does movies, she gets talked about more. Plus, she's "quirky" as everyone says. I saw something really funny last year. It was in Entertainment Weekly magazine and it was a list of things that were "then" and "now." One heading said "Deschanel Sister." Under "then" listed Zooey and under "now" listed Emily. This was probably October of last year or so. I just remembered that after reading this thread. Interesting, I think.

Re: The Deschanel Family
Oh yea that's exactly my sentiment.I like Zooey too but I think Emily definitely has a star potential too and she's such a good actress. her acting skill is excellent and I think she definitely should recognised more both from her acting and from her good cause
Btw did you know that Emily is doing some appearance doing some reading this Sunday? Are you going there?

Reading? No, I didn't know that. Plus I am not in L.A., so I couldn't go anyway. Is it "Young Storytellers" by any chance? Because she was talking about that.

Re: The Deschanel Family
Errr I'm not really sure what it is about but it involves Author Karen Dawn
and some excerpt from her interview
E: Who knew! And of course we are madly in love with Emily Deschanel here at Ecorazzi…plus she’s totally my Facebook bud!
KD: Emily is just lovely. I remember when a friend of mine met her they called her “a solid citizen” which is not usually what you call a gorgeous Hollywood gal — but with Emily it just fits. She is as down to earth as her Bones character — but a lot more charming! I am glad people will get to see that for themselves at the reading, and see her wonderful commitment to the animals.

Re: The Deschanel Family
I just read another article about the reading. There is info in another thread, but I can't remember which one. It's to retire a turkey that is named after her, so she will be appearing and doing some kind of reading.
