I've wasted my entire evening in photoshop and I want this one problem, that has had me in flipping tears fixed. Please, guru, tell me how to fix it

You must save the image as gif or png to get transparency. Use the higher resolution png format for best appearance and if you have a background layer - turn it off by poking it in the eye
