Yes. to both. The American expression, "We were having a ball" means people were having a lot of fun and really enjoying themselves. It probably stems from the large, fancy ballroom dances and that being shortened to the word "ball." However, last night it seems it was all coming from DB's "stem" and so therefore you were having balls.

Well mary, as usual I have no where to be and I seem to be feeling a lot healthier than yesterday so I imagine I'll be around the entire day.
