Yeah, things are better. My grandmother passed away and my dad is doing radiation treatment for cancer, so it's tough. But we have really pulled together as a family. Right now, I'm in Texas for my cousin's wedding.

meegs, I'm sorry that your father is ill, but I hope things turn out well for all of you.

My mother was seriously ill when I was only 15 (breast cancer) and we nearly lost her.... it was a really, really hard time, but it made us a better family, so to say. You learn to work together, learn how important it is to spend time with each other and how unimportant things are, that seemed necessary before.

Thanks bunches, cheese. You know, my dad and I have actually become closer since I've been back from California. I mean, we talk a lot more and have "heart to hearts." It's actually really nice.

that's good! my parents and I became closer too, back then..... I mean, I was fifteen, ya know, the time where you are supposed to be a rebellious teenager. But that doesn't work, when you've got a household to run on your own. My parents used to live their lives a little too much apart, I guess, (don't get me wrong, they loved each other, but stil.....) but my mother's illness changed that for good.

Thanks to you, too ToZika. We're all optimistic. He's quite tired from the radiation, but other than that, he is doing well.

Well, I would really love to stay and chat, but it is 2:30am here and I've got to get up for a bridesmaids' luncheon. I've missed you girls and I will talk to you soon!
