haha, no arguments there, ehbee. But what I think is more of a relief, as a cubs fan, is that the cubs *aren't* relying on the homeruns to win. They're getting a lot of walks, singles, doubles... very good. That's what was always missing. Dlee, Ramirez and others never had problems hitting it out... but you'd just get solo home runs and it's not enough. Now they're playing better baseball... watching more pitches, working the count. *happy sigh* good times.

see razz, that's what makes a good team! the jays are terrible at getting their runners in... when they finally gets men on base, they just leave them stranded! its horrifying!

bella, you are lucky. i had to watch eckstein jump for a ball, barely miss and crawl on his hands and knees across the field to pick it up and salvage the play... and guess what? he dropped the ball AGAIN! ARGH!!

then rios, 8th inning, bases loaded with 1 out... he STOOD at the plate. i swear i could hear his inner monolog "wow.... look at that nice round ball.... maybe i should hit that. oh! here comes another..." he BLEW the opportunity to tie the game.

I just heard him do a Harry Carry(?) impersonation the other night, and nearly peed myself laughing!! He's so funny!! Yes his home town is just down the penninsula from me, beautiful area!! We take pride in our BC boys! Justin Morneau, Jordan Bay, Rich Harden, Ryan Dempster, and Jeff Francis, we produce some pretty good ones!!

lol! yeah... that's how it was... they were either hitting solo home runs or stranding 3 men on base ;-). and ouch. that sucks! it's like last night... (and recognizing that he is young still) hoffpauir was up with a runner on third and 1 out, 9th inning (and the runner on third was the tying run). All he needs to do is hit a pop fly. that's it. So what does he do? he swings for the bleachers and strikes out. grrrr. Still, I shouldn't complain, not when I have so much to be happy about!
