Fox’s underrated Bones was on the Thursday 8 p.m. map, with a second-place 6.2/10 in the overnights this week (which was up five percent from one year earlier). But struggling Fringe dipped to a fourth-place 3.4/ 5 at 9 p.m. Comparably, retention for Fringe out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of Bones (6.4/10) was just 53 percent.

Total viewers ratings are down from 9.75 last week, but up from 2.5 in the 18-49 demo.

Question about the ratings...how is Bones doing compared to last year?

better I believe but let me check on the actual numbers

yeah, the plain in the prodigy which was the 3rd episode last year ( aired a week earlier than this year) had 9.00 million viewers
The beautiful day in the neighbourhood which is the episode that aired Oct 8th/09 ( same week) had 9.92 million


so take from that what you will, it had more viewers than the third episode last year, but less than the episode that aired that same week
