An exploration of BB through the world of colors. Rating will change to T by next chapter, most likely. Will continue until I run out or ideas or crayons, whichever comes first. Also, shameless self-promotion: this is also posted on [Only admins are allowed to see this link]

Iridescence

Prologue: Rainbow

One could say that their lives are comprised of a dazzling array of colors. Perhaps a rainbow of feelings was a better metaphor. Each instance of their time together fit a color, hues of anger, passion, happiness, bliss, calmness, anguish, grief combining in a spectacular phenomenon. Moments took their specific place in the pattern, and others would combine to form something completely foreign.

Brennan could pinpoint the exact moment the rain began to let up. It started with one Gemma Arrington and ended with a slap across the face of one Seeley Booth.

Booth would swear that fate had started it all. One look at the beautiful forensic anthropologist and he was done for. His skies began to clear and the sun shone through.

Few could say they had waited out the gray clouds and the thundering rainstorms to be granted the reward of the aftermath. Angela Montenegro would always remember the first time she lay eyes on her best friend and her FBI stud muffin, and would go to her grave swearing that she could see fireworks above their heads. Camille Saroyan would never tell anyone, but she secretly took pride in recommending Temperance Brennan to one of her best friends. Would they ever have met if not for her? Everything happens eventually, or so they say. But what path would their lives have taken? Jack Hodgins would never truly remember any interaction between the dynamic duo during their first case; he honestly had been too excited about a modern murderer to pay attention to anything else. However, he could say that the electricity was in the air from day one. Others shared their part in the scene as well: Zack Addy and Caroline Julian, as well as a menagerie of rotating interns, always knew there was something special about the pair.

Their rainbow would grow and grow, entwining their lives and creating a story for the world to view. None would ever know the true meaning of it all though. The meaning was unique to two people, two people who shared nothing and everything. Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth spun a tale for the ages.
