Just saw on Amazon.co.uk that the s5 DVD is due for release on Oct 18.

Haven't heard anything about a US or Australian release date, yet.

We can probably look forward to it down under in late November, that seems to be the trend...

last year was the beginning of October as well ( I know cause I bought it as a birthday present to myself and my birthday is Sept 28th)... Can't speak for previous years cause I didn't start watching weekly until season 4.

Re: s5 DVD release
I'm sure dvd releases used to occur in the week or days before the new season started as kinda of a kick start for the new season not sure why that's changed in the last couple years. But at least in the USA and Canada you don't have to wait more than a couple days for the postage!! My dvd's won't arrive till Bones is in the baseball break

LOL I won't be ordering online, it takes too long I've found it's quicker to take a trip to walmart or best buy the day it comes out and buy it immediately

Yes! I figured this out the hard way once ... I pre-ordered a DVD set months in advance only to have it arrive almost a week after the release date. I was so pissed. Lol. Of course I live in a really rural area, so if my Wal-Mart doesn't have this on time, I may be making a road trip to get it.
And for those wondering, according to tvshowsondvd.com here are the release dates for all the prior Bones DVD sets ... (This is actually the earliest they've been released aside from Season 2.)
Season 1
11/28/2006
Season 2
9/11/2007
Season 3
11/18/2008
Season 4 (Blu-ray) buy
10/06/2009
Season 4 buy
10/06/2009
Season 5 (Blu-ray)
10/05/2010
Season 5
10/05/2010

Re: s5 DVD release
This is what's listed...
Bonus features:
* Two audio commentaries
o "The Proof in the Pudding" by Tamara Taylor, T. J. Thyne, John Francis Daley and Michaela Conlin
o "The Beginning in the End" by Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and Ian Toynton
* Extended episodes
o "The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken"
o "The X in the File"
* Featurettes
o "David Boreanaz: Directing the 100th Episode"
o "The Nunchuck Way"
o "House of 100 Corpses"
o "The Bodies of Bones"
* Deleted scenes
* Gag reel
But I remember reading somewhere that the special features were only going to be on blueray, or there were not as many on normal DVD. Can anyone remember?
Either way I can't wait to listen to the commentary for tBitE!
